This period overlapped with both the Victorian and Edwardian jewelry eras. The Edwardian era (c.1900-1920) was named after English king Edward VII, and consisted of delicate jewelry pieces that were considered sophisticated & 'softer'. Popular designs in the Edwardian Era were ornamental motifs and delicate lace detailing. 17th and 18th century architecture & jewelry were inspirations in the Edwardian Era.
